I really dislike the skin and looks of this forum, it's ugly, big and just awful.
However, I have a few suggestions when it comes to forum skins and domains.

Simple machines is a very simple and free forum, that is so much better than "superforum.fr" which obviously fails..

I could might host it for you..

Simple Machines would be good, from what I know it doesn't allow idiot bots to register .

the theme we used on GTautos forum was caled "Helios"

This is a good idea, but there is a problem. The forumactifs (.superforum is one) can't be moved :s

I think Felle says we should start a new forum....

We could host our own.... www.3dautos.co.uk/forum etc...

Like I did with GT Autos, but getting the people to register might not work out

yeah the truth is, when you host your own you can mod everything

Phpbb2 is the only gay forum out there...all others are rapidly improving...SMF is very good, similar to that of vBulletin.

But if we create new forum, all the messages from 3dautos.superforum will be deleted.

So ... i don't agree.

I guess you have to pay for a backup of this forum (like at the most free hosting services)

I could get Aden to try and hack this, he has offered it to me before...

I mean he could get the topics etc and data base onto a new forum...

I dunno if there is some kind of back up feature. But I honestly don't know why you all turned to a hosted forum when you already had space. Could have just used a free MYSQL host to host the backend.

This forum was around in 2005, well before 3dautos started and when the STC team were still working. Then STC closed, and we came up with the idea for 3d Autos...and used this old forum which Lucas was using

Fail.. I mean seriously just hack the shit or get the database. Can't be too hard.

Superforum.fr won't allow it to be so easy to hack their MySQL backend. Maybe you all could pay them or talk to them to get you a copy...Shouldn't be much of a task for them.

I guess there is mate, because I have some forum at multiforum.nl (well more than 1 forum) and I can take backup but have to pay like 25eur for it and than they send some cd to me LOUL

... well Perhaps it's not that simple to hack it imo, cause those hosters work constantly at it imo and improve lots of stuff ...

but you can try on own risk

Well I can't see the problem to pay €25 if you want this forum to be nicer. Just ask for donations and that should be easy to get.
